Why Stay Here

The Selinda Canoe Trail is about taking oneself out of the 'hustle and bustle' of today's modern world. We always feel humbled by this vast wilderness and are reminded of the pulse of nature and her whims. The beauty of this experience is in its impromptu spirit, similar to that which guided the early explorers of Africa. You will access areas of the Selinda Reserve that had not been accessible for decades, far from any 4x4 tracks and deep into pristine ecosystems. To be able to act on impulse, hop out of the canoe to explore on foot and set up camp where we desire, makes this a rare treat for anyone seeking yesteryear.

All of our equipment and provisions will be carried by canoe; therefore, each fly camp is rustic in nature, but by no means too basic for comfort.
