He’s back! Sydney the Elephant has returned to Selinda Camp keeping us company and also always on out toes. This extremely relaxed forty year old spent much of last winter in and out of camp. Now he is back, we have had quite a few surprise visits over dinner where his curiosity took him to looking at us over the deck. The other night it would seem that he was upset about not being invited, he strolled over and what would seem intentionally kicked our lead wood mounted flood light into the air and onto the ground. Thanks Sydney, Makonde our maintenance supervisor will be most pleased…

We’ve met Sydney (didn’t know he was called that at the time), and she sure keeps everyone on its toes….. he’s extremelly good in surprising people out of “nowhere” in the dark, just around the corner, quite silently, as Elephants often do.
