5 minutes ago, just moments before the bright sun sparkled over the Sunday morning horizon into a clear sky, two big male lions padded regally across the plain heading north through the long grass only 50 meters in front of the mess. Guests watched in awe from the steps before jumping into their game drive vehicle to get even more up close and personal with these two king cats, though had they laid in a bit longer this morning they would have been able to see these lions from their beds with cups of coffee in hand! Currently the lions are in the croton thicket in front of number 3 tent – a prime point from which to ambush the multitude of plains animals obliviously grazing around camp.
