Botswana Camps
Here be Lions – Selinda Camp, Botswana

It’s of course not always about the predators out here. When the predators are around, the other animals can be excellent indicators of their presence. This Impala ram was keeping a beady eye on part of the Selinda Lion Pride which were not far from the back of camp. There he stood, rigid, still – like a sentinel. He snorted, grunted and warned his harem  of the impending danger. He had nothing to fear, this time. The lionesses were making their way away from the herd of Impala.
