Dux, our head guide, was out with guests a few days ago when they picked up Cheetah tracks in the game drive areas north and west of camp. Cheetah are another of our specials when it comes to predators. With increased Lion, Wild Dog and to some extent Leopard activity – these elusive and shy felines pull back into the more inaccessible parts of the concession. A sighting is a rare one at the moment, at least while the summer growth of grass is high. We expect to start seeing them more and more as winter sets-in and the grass and vegatation dies down, which will allow them visibility over our landscape.
Here is a shot Dux got of one of a coalition of 3 males.
Enjoy!
