Setting the scene: Zarafa. 6am. Breakfast. Main area.
“Good morning Sharon – for breakfast we have a fine selection of fruits, croissants, porridge…..and by the way there is a Lion over there…”
Walking along the path to the vehicles was a striking, large female Lion. So breakfast was abandoned quickly and off we went to find the pride. Some basic tracking allowed us to catch up with them and take some shots in the good, early morning light before returning for that promised breakfast. What a fantastic way to kick start your morning – all before 7am.
