Never, ever, come to tea at Selinda Camp without your camera. Come ready for anything. During an afternoon this week – one of our frequent pachyderm visitors graced us with his presence. He is a beautiful specimen! The afternoons activities were put on hold as our guests scrambled around the deck to get into position for a shot of an elephant from a range that is not normally possible. Here he is as he sauntered past the guest toilets on deck.
Then later, as the sun was setting on the day I spotted this Tree Squirrel who was merrily building a nest in the cavity of an Apple-leaf Tree. The pair of squirrels busied themselves with plucking leaves from branches high up in the tree and scurrying down back to the cavity to place them meticulously inside their nest. We’ll watch this little nest for babies!
