Due to the incredible rains that have fallen in the catchment regions of the Kavango and Kunene rivers during the first quarter of this year, the Selinda Spillway’s headwaters have joined from both the Western and Eastern directions of Botswana’s waterways
In 2009 the headwaters joined on the 17th of August allowing guest to experience the first season of the very popular and unique Selinda Canoe Trail.
In 2010 the headwaters then met earlier on the 17th of May that year
Now with the incredible waters entering the Okavango Delta this year the headwaters met on the 30th of March 2011! This bodes well for an amazing Selinda Canoe Trail for guests who look forward to enjoying this special safari experience
